Simple amoeba camoflage - SSU Red Army
I'm not a great painter. Much as I'd love to be able to, I can't freehand paint pea dot. But fortunately the SSU had a very simple and effective camo scheme that involved painting blobs like a four year old painting a leaf on the all over jump suits that the SSU Red Army and the PLA volunteers are wearing in DUST.
I achieved this with a blob of Vallejo luftwaffe green, splodged on over a base uniform colour comprised of Vallejo flat earth with a drybrush of Vallejo Khaki Grey.
That body armor? The soviet tank riders really did wear that stuff. But they probably didn't paint it red! Somewhat defeats the concept of camo, unless you are fighting in a beetroot farm!
